A company in its beginnings is now accepting proposals for web designer/developer to design and build a website. This is a freelance position.
The website must be attractive (with flash, perhaps) yet substantive, eye pleasing, and user-friendly; it must allow clients to "sign in" and check the status of an application; it must allow the owners to quickly and effortlessly change sentences from their own computer; and the website must look professional.
The web designer must have a proven record of pleased clients and a showcased portfolio; he/she must have a list of references (current and/or previous clients); he/she should be able to communicate well from phone and email, taking two persons' ideas and making a website out of it; the web designer must have patience and flexibility, being able to present a number of layouts and ideas over a 3 to 5 month period until the best one is decided. The candidate must be computer savvy AND creative. The ideal candidate will have had experience making websites geared toward college students, college administrators, and/or those between 18 and 30 years of age.
