您知道吗？韦恩郡及奥克兰的警察署以及马康姆郡老年公民部，将免费给老人们提供手机以便紧急情况下使用。这些手机来自于捐赠者及一些回收旧手机。这些免费手机虽然没有有效的可使用分钟数，但是可以免费打911电话。

下面是这种免费手机的申请办法：

*在韦恩郡打警署电话(313) 224-0615 or (313) 224-0051，把你的名字先登记上排队等候。然后到下述地址领取：
Administration Building, 1231 St. Antoine near Greektown;
Road Patrol Office, 3100 Henry Ruff in Westland;
Highland Park station, in Model T Plaza on Woodward, two blocks north of the Davison Freeway.

*在奥克兰郡，每周五9时到12时，在下列地址可领取免费手机：
the Oakland County Sheriff's Office,
1200 N. Telegraph, Building 38E,
Pontiac, north of the county courthouse and the Summit Place Mall (between Pontiac Lake Road and Dixie Highway).

*在马康姆郡，可以去senior citizen's department，地址是21885 Dunham, Suite 6, Clinton Township

所有上述三个机构都接受民众捐赠手机，手机必须状态良好可正常工作，而且需配有充电器。请将手机及充电器置于封好的塑料袋，这样不会和其它手机混在一起，利于发放。
